Miqat Timepieces: Independent Watch Project

Based in Ras Al Khaimah, this is a one person effort from start to finish, sourcing components, then hand assembling each watch individually.

There's no storefront here, no catalog to browse, and no open inquiries. Each piece goes only to family, friends, and a small number of people who've been personally invited, nobody else. If you're curious about the process itself, you're always welcome to follow along.

Current Batch

The first piece is a diver style watch, built as a proof of concept, It's powered by a Swiss movement carrying over 65 hours of power reserve, built to run well beyond a day off the wrist.

The dial takes its color from Jebel Jais, the mountain that defines the skyline of Ras Al Khaimah, translated into a tone meant to hold up in daily wear rather than sit behind glass. The intent is simple: a watch substantial enough to wear without thinking twice, on any wrist, in any setting.

Right now, there's only one.

Personal Inspection

Fully hand assembled and regulated at a single bench, with the same discipline applied to every unit.

Every component is selected against a defined standard, movement, case, crystal, before it's approved for assembly.

Each watch undergoes individual inspection and testing before it's approved to leave the workshop.

A note from the Founder

"There was no grandfather's Rolex passed down, no one to explain what actually made a watch worth its price. My first real watch was a Casio, in 2018, and putting it on opened a door I didn't yet understand.

A few years later, a $1,500 mistake on a "designer" watch sent me deep into the industry, movements, pricing, how these things are actually built versus how they're sold. Watches like Seiko, Orient, and Tissot had already proven an honest middle ground could exist. What hadn't been done yet was building that here, in Ras Al Khaimah, rather than Dubai, where most of the region's independent names are based on.

Miqat started in December 2025, not as a business plan, but as an attempt to bring that same idea home. Every design decision, every sourced component, and every assembled piece runs through one person, start to finish.

This isn't a page built to reach a wide audience. It's shared with family, friends, and people who've been personally invited into this. If you're here, there's likely a reason, and I'd genuinely welcome hearing from you."
